A day to learn about FMF

Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is a rare genetic disorder that causes recurrent episodes of fever typically accompanied by pain in the abdomen, chest, or joints. It is a rare disease on a global scale but affects up to one in 200 among certain ethnic groups with their origins in the Mediterranean region.

There are thought to be about 150,000 people living with FMF around the world. International FMF Day was launched for the first time on 17 September 2017 by the FMF and AID Global Association in conjunction with member associations and patient groups.

We at Sobi are proud to support International FMF Day, and to share information about this rare disease. Click on the infographics below to learn more.
